1.Your agreement with Movago

In short: By using Movago, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

These Terms of Use are a legally binding agreement between you and Movago Inc. (“Movago”, “we”, “us” or “our”). They govern your access to and use of our websites, web and mobile apps, and our marketplace for rides, shared trips, courier delivery, local services and event tickets, along with the Movago Wallet, gift cards, Movago Pro, partner offers and support (the “Services”).

You accept these terms when you create an account, browse listings, make a booking or add funds to your wallet. Some features have extra terms shown when you use them, which form part of this agreement. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle your information.

2.Eligibility and your account

In short: You must be an adult, give real information, and keep your account secure.

  • Age: you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority where you live.
  • Accurate information: your account must use genuine legal identification. Fake names and false information are strictly prohibited.
  • Security: you are responsible for keeping your login confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • One person, one account: don't share, sell or transfer your account, or create another to get around a restriction.

3.What Movago is, and isn't

In short: Movago is a technology marketplace that connects you with independent drivers, providers and organizers.

Movago lets people find, book and pay independent drivers, service providers and event organizers (“Partners”). Unless we clearly say otherwise, Movago does not itself provide transportation, courier, home or lifestyle services and does not host events. The Partner is responsible for what they provide.

Partners are independent and not our employees or agents. We verify certain information and show ratings to help you decide, but we do not guarantee any Partner's work, availability or conduct, and you decide whether to accept an offer or booking.

4.Offers, prices and fees

In short: You see the price and choose. Accepting an offer or confirming a booking commits you to it.

  • Prices come from driver offers, Partner listings, courier quotes and event ticket tiers, and are shown before you confirm.
  • Accepting an offer or confirming a booking creates a commitment to pay the price shown, along with any fees and taxes displayed.
  • Prices are shown in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise.
  • Courier quotes can expire. A quote only holds if you lock it in before the expiry time shown.
  • Movago may charge service or booking fees, which are shown before you confirm. Movago Pro members may get lower fees.

5.On-demand rides

In short: Pick an offer, confirm your driver using your code, and treat each other with respect.

  • You enter a pickup and destination, now or scheduled, and nearby verified drivers may send offers. No one is guaranteed to respond.
  • Use your pickup verification code to confirm the right driver and rider before starting the trip.
  • Pet-friendly, music and conversation preferences are requests that help set expectations. They are not guarantees.
  • Everyone in the vehicle must wear a seatbelt and follow the law. Drivers may refuse a ride if they reasonably believe it is unsafe.
  • You are responsible for damage or excessive mess caused by you, your guests or your pet.

6.Scheduled shared trips

In short: Hosts must be licensed and insured. Riders must be on time and behave respectfully.

Driver host obligations

  • Hold a valid driver's licence, up-to-date motor vehicle insurance and valid registration.
  • Keep vehicles in safe condition, passing annual safety inspections, with working seatbelts for all passengers.
  • Post accurate routes, stops, departure times, seat counts and real vehicle photos.
  • Only sell seats and trunk space on trips you are lawfully allowed to offer.

Rider code of conduct

  • Arrive at the designated pickup stop 10 minutes before departure, with your Trip QR Code ready.
  • Smoking, vaping, illegal substances, and aggressive behaviour toward hosts or co-riders will result in immediate permanent account termination.
  • Book the number of seats you actually need, and only bring the luggage the listing allows.

7.Courier and package delivery

In short: Describe packages honestly, never send prohibited items, and use the codes to hand off safely.

Senders must describe packages accurately, package them properly, and provide correct receiver details and honest photos. Pickup and delivery verification codes protect the chain of custody, so only share them with the right person at the right time.

Prohibited items

  • illegal goods, illegal drugs, stolen property and counterfeit items
  • weapons, ammunition, explosives and other dangerous or hazardous materials
  • cash, payment cards, and irreplaceable valuables
  • live animals, human remains and perishable goods that cannot safely make the trip
  • anything restricted by law, or that a driver could not lawfully carry

Drivers may refuse a package that looks unsafe or doesn't match its description. If a package is lost or damaged, report it through the app as soon as you can, including any photos, so we can look into it.

8.Home and local services

In short: Pros are independent contractors. Payment is held until the job is done, and we step in if there's a problem.

Handymen, service businesses and professionals listed on Movago operate as independent contractors. They are responsible for their work, staff, tools, licences, permits and insurance. Listings can be fixed-price, hourly or by custom quote, and you choose your professional and time slot.

  • Give accurate job details and safe access to your property.
  • Service fees are held securely upon booking and released to the provider once the job is completed.
  • If a job does not meet reasonable professional standards, Movago support holds the payout pending resolution. Report problems promptly with photos where possible.
  • Don't arrange to pay off the platform for a job you found on Movago. Doing so removes the protections described here.

9.Events and tickets

In short: Organizers run their events. Your QR ticket is checked at the door, and screenshots don't guarantee entry.

Organizers are responsible for their events, including accuracy, venue, safety, permits, agendas, age limits and admission rules. You may be refused entry if you don't meet them.

  • General Admission and reserved seat tickets appear as QR tickets in your Bookings tab.
  • Tickets are validated through official Movago live scanner sessions. A ticket that has already been scanned, or one that isn't valid, may be refused.
  • Selling or transferring tickets outside features offered in Movago isn't permitted, and we can't protect tickets obtained that way.
  • If an event is cancelled or materially changed, refund options are explained in the event's terms or by the organizer, subject to your rights under applicable law.
  • Keep event comments respectful. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

10.Payments and the Movago Wallet

In short: Pay by Apple Pay, Google Pay, card or wallet credit. Wallet credit stays with your account.

You can pay using Apple Pay, Google Pay, saved cards or Movago Credit Wallet. Payments are processed by Stripe, and by adding a payment method you authorize us to charge it for your bookings, fees, taxes and subscriptions.

  • Booking payments are held and released to the Partner upon successful completion of the ride or job, subject to dispute review.
  • Movago Credit Wallet balances are tied to your account and may not be assigned or transferred to another user.
  • If a payment fails or is reversed, you remain responsible for the amount owed, and we may limit your account until it is resolved.
  • If you think a charge is wrong, contact support first so we can investigate.

11.Cancellations and refunds

In short: Trip riders get a full wallet refund up to 24 hours before departure, with extra compensation if the host cancels.

Cancellation and refund rules
SituationWhat happens
Rider cancels a trip at least 24 hours before departure100% refund, credited to your Movago Credit Wallet.
Rider cancels a trip less than 24 hours before departureThe cancellation terms shown on your booking apply.
Host cancels a tripInstant 100% refund, plus a 10% wallet credit compensation bonus.
Rides, courier, services and ticketsThe cancellation terms shown before you confirm apply. These vary by product and by Partner.

12.Gift cards

In short: Send them now or schedule them. The terms shown at purchase tell you how each one works.

You can send digital gift cards instantly or schedule them for a future date. Please check recipient details carefully, as a card sent to the wrong person may not be recoverable. The value, redemption rules and whether a card is refundable are shown at purchase, and gift cards are subject to the gift card laws of your province. Gift cards can't be resold.

13.Movago Pro

In short: Pro is an optional paid membership that renews until you cancel. Free stays free for the basics.

  • Movago Pro is an optional subscription, with benefits such as lower fees, faster matches and member perks, which vary by plan. Faster matches are not a guarantee of a match.
  • Your plan's price and billing cycle are shown before you subscribe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
  • You can manage or cancel your plan in your account. Unless the law says otherwise, cancelling stops future renewals, and benefits continue until the end of the paid period.
  • We may change plans, benefits or prices. We will give you notice before a price change applies to you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

14.Offers, coupons and referrals

In short: Offers have conditions, and abusing them can cost you your rewards.

Partner offers, coupons and referral points are subject to the conditions shown with them, including eligibility, location and expiry. Unless stated otherwise, they have no cash value and can't be transferred. Partner offers are provided by those partners, who are responsible for fulfilling them. We may cancel rewards obtained through fraud, self-referrals or misuse.

15.Additional terms for partners

In short: If you earn on Movago, you're responsible for your own licences, insurance, taxes and conduct.

If you drive, deliver, list a service, host events or advertise on Movago, you also agree to:

  • complete verification, and keep your documents, licences, permits and insurance valid and accurate
  • provide your offering as described, safely, professionally and in line with all applicable laws
  • take responsibility for your own taxes, including any GST/HST, and your staff
  • use customer information only to fulfil the booking, and in line with privacy law
  • follow ticket scanning, verification code and job status steps so bookings are recorded accurately
  • keep ads truthful, lawful and not misleading, if you advertise on Movago

Separate partner agreements may also apply. If they conflict with these terms, the partner agreement applies to that subject.

16.Safety and emergencies

In short: Movago's safety tools help, but they don't replace emergency services. In danger? Call 911.

Movago is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number first, then report the incident to us when it's safe to do so.

Features such as live trip sharing, emergency contacts and verification codes depend on your device, signal and settings, so we can't guarantee they will always work. If you use Ride Audio Recording, you are responsible for complying with recording and privacy laws, and you must not misuse recordings.

17.Maya and AI support

In short: Maya can help quickly but can make mistakes. These terms and your booking details are what count.

Maya is an AI assistant, and its answers may be incomplete or inaccurate. They aren't professional, legal or safety advice, and they don't change these terms or your booking details. You can ask to be handed off to human support whenever you need it.

18.Acceptable use

In short: Be honest, be respectful, and don't misuse or attack Movago.

You must not:

  • break the law, or harass, threaten, discriminate against or harm anyone
  • impersonate anyone, or provide fake documents, listings, reviews, photos or tickets
  • copy or forge verification codes and QR tickets, or try to get around them
  • commit fraud, including payment fraud, fake bookings and referral abuse
  • scrape, reverse engineer, overload or interfere with our systems, or bypass security or rate limits
  • use other people's data for anything other than the booking it was shared for
  • post unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or misleading content

19.Your content

In short: Your content stays yours, but you let us use it to run Movago.

You keep ownership of the photos, reviews, comments, listings and other content you post. You give Movago a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display and adapt it for operating and promoting the Services, for as long as needed for those purposes. You confirm you have the rights to post it. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

20.Movago's intellectual property

In short: Our brand and software belong to us. You get a personal right to use the Services.

Movago, its logos, software, designs and content are owned by Movago or its licensors and protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Services as these terms allow. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

21.Third-party services

In short: Some features rely on other companies, whose own terms may apply.

The Services may rely on or link to third parties, including payment processors, app stores, map providers and partners making offers. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their services, and their terms and privacy policies may apply.

22.Suspension and termination

In short: You can leave at any time. We can restrict accounts that break these terms or create risk.

You can stop using Movago and ask us to close your account at any time, although you will still owe any amounts already due, and open bookings may need to be completed or cancelled first.

We may suspend, limit or close an account or remove a listing if we reasonably believe you broke these terms or the law, created a safety or fraud risk, or if we are legally required to. Where appropriate, we will tell you why and explain how to contact us about the decision.

23.Disclaimers

In short: We work hard to keep Movago running, but we can't promise it will always be perfect.

To the extent the law allows, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a Partner or offer will be available, or that estimated times will be accurate. Verification and ratings help you decide, but they don't guarantee a Partner's conduct or quality.

24.Limitation of liability

In short: Our liability has limits, except where the law says otherwise.

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • Movago is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill.
  • Movago is not liable for the acts, omissions or services of Partners, users or other third parties.
  • Movago's total liability for all claims relating to the Services is limited to the amounts you paid to Movago in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

25.Your responsibility for claims

In short: If your misuse leads to a claim against Movago, you're responsible for it, within legal limits.

To the extent the law allows, you agree to indemnify Movago and its directors, officers and employees against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, your violation of the law or someone else's rights, or, if you are a Partner, the services you provide.

26.Governing law and disputes

In short: Talk to us first. Saskatchewan and Canadian law apply, and your local consumer rights are preserved.

Please contact support@movagoinc.com first, so we can try to resolve the issue informally. For booking disputes, please use the in-app reporting options as soon as you can.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the applicable laws of Canada, and the courts of Saskatchewan have jurisdiction. This doesn't remove any mandatory rights you have to rely on the laws, or bring a claim in the courts, of the province where you live.

27.Changes to these terms

In short: We may update these terms, and we'll tell you about important changes.

We may change these terms as Movago evolves or the law changes. We will update the “Last updated” date and give reasonable notice of material changes through the app or by email, where required by law. If you keep using the Services after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms. If you don't agree, you should stop using the Services and may close your account.

28.General terms

In short: The standard legal details.

  • Entire agreement: these terms and the terms they refer to are the whole agreement between you and Movago about the Services.
  • Severability: if part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver: if we don't enforce something right away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Assignment: you can't transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours in connection with a merger, sale or reorganization.
  • Events beyond our control: we aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • Language: where required in Quebec, a French version of these terms will be made available.

29.Contact us
